HAMMOND, La.- The Louisiana Tech softball team will attempt to turnaround its early season fortunes this weekend as the Lady Techsters compete at the Southeastern Louisiana Tournament.

Tech went 1-5 last weekend at the Mississippi State tournament against Mississippi State, North Carolina State and Mississippi Valley State.

Tech plays its first game at the SLU event on Friday at 10 a.m. against Southern before taking on Troy at 5:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Tech will face Jackson State and Southeastern Louisiana before concluding the tournament on Sunday with games against Samford and another match up with Troy.

Tech?s offensive has been impressive through six games as the Lady Techsters scored three or more runs in three contests last weekend including pushing across seven against Mississippi State and nine against Mississippi Valley State.
