RUSTON-Louisiana Tech head baseball coach Wade Simoneaux is now taking applications for his Top Dawg Youth Camp on June 28-30 and the High School Camp which begins on July 26-28.
The youth camp is for grades first through seventh while the high school camp is for young men entering grades 8 through 12 and includes drills, defensive skills, hitting, intrasquads, as well as strength and conditioning. Top Dawg's youth camp will last from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day while the high school's will last from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily with lunch provided everyday and three meals provided per day for overnight campers.
Louisiana Tech coaches have signed 16 players out of The Top Dawg Camps over the last eight years. All campers will be instructed by the entire Tech coaching staff and many current players in every aspect of the game from hitting to strength and conditioning.
Simoneaux is also taking applications for the fall baseball league for young men entering grades 8 through 12. All games will be played on Sundays (Sept. 12, 19, Oct. 10, 17 and Nov. 7, 14) as players will be divided up into teams which will be coached by Bulldog baseball players.
