Friday's Fall World Series Game Rescheduled As Part of a Double-Header on Sunday Oct. 30

RUSTON - Louisiana Tech's Fall World Series opener originally schedule for Friday has now been rescheduled as part of a double-header on Sunday Oct. 30, beginning at 1 p.m.

Game two is scheduled game to start 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

In order to rest pitchers there will be two days of rest before games three and four on Wednesday (Nov. 2) and Friday (Nov. 4), each at 6:00 p.m. The final game of the series is set for Saturday Nov. 5 at 1 p.m.

All five games will be played regardless of who wins and all games will go seven innings.

All pitchers will be under a pitch count/innings limit. The maximum a pitcher can throw is 5 innings or 75 pitches. If he is under 75 pitches when a new hitter approaches the plate, he can finish the hitter. If a pitcher throws 5 innings, he will be under 4 days rest. A pitcher who throws between 41 and 75 pitches will have 3 days rest. 21-40 pitches gives a pitcher 2 days rest, while anyone who throws under 21 pitches does not need a rest day in between games.

The winning team will win bragging right and will eat steaks while the losing team will have all field duties and eat beans.
