RUSTON, La. - The Louisiana Tech tennis team looks to extend their home winning-streak to four straight as they host No. 43 Stephen F. Austin Sunday morning at 10 a.m. at the Lady Techster Tennis Complex.
Entering the match, the Lady Techsters are 11-4 on the year and 6-1 at home after shutting out Grambling Tuesday night.
Junior Alena Erofeyeva improved her singles record to 21-7 on the season and is 14-1 in dual matches while senior Elne Barnard is 12-3 in singles contests including 10-3 at No. 3.
Senior Anna Zurek comes in with an 8-3 record in the spring and is 5-0 at the No. 5 single position.
The team of senior Maartje de Wit and junior Vivian ten Dolle are 11-5 on the year including 10-2 in dual matches with all of the spring contests taking place at the No. 2 spot. They have also won nine of their last 10 matches.
Freshman Laura Fernandez and Erofeyeva have won three consecutive matches as a duo. Barnard and Zurek are 9-6 together and have compiled an 8-5 mark at No. 1.
Stephen F. Austin comes in with a 16-3 record after falling to No. 68 Missouri 4-3 Friday in Nacogdoches, Texas. On the road, the 'Jacks are 10-1 with their lone loss to Baylor on Jan. 25.
Antonia Kolovou paces SFA with a 17-2 singles mark and is undefeated at No. 5 at 10-0.
Tereza Bekerova and Elena Kordolaimi have both split time at the No. 1 singles position and have won seven and six matches, respectively.
The duo of Jithmie Jayawickrema and Alina Shazhko are 15-2 together including 13-2 at the No.2 spot while Malena Gordo and Bekerova are 12-3 at No. 1.
