Tech Madness Set for Wednesday

RUSTON - Louisiana Tech fans will get an opportunity to get a first-hand look at both the Bulldog and Lady Techster basketball teams Wednesday at Tech Madness set for 7 p.m. at the Thomas Assembly Center.

Admission to the event is free.

Players, coaches and support staffs from both teams will be introduced to the crowd followed by performances by the Tech Hoop Troop, the Regal Blues and the LA Tech cheerleaders.

Bulldog head coach Mike White and Lady Techster head coach Tyler Summitt will both address the crowd to talk about the upcoming seasons.

Following remarks from both coaches, a three-point shooting competition will take place with one player from each team, a student and a faculty member participating. The much-anticipated dunk contest will ensue where reigning Dunkin' Dog champion Raheem Appleby will try to retain his crown.

The women and men will both participate in a 10-minute intra-scrimmage to close out the night. Fans wishing to stay afterwards can watch the Bulldogs during an open practice.

Fans will have the opportunity to buy concessions during the event.
