RUSTON - With Louisiana Tech's home opener this Saturday quickly approaching, University officials want to remind fans about some regulations dealing with football weekends in Ruston.

Kickoff for Saturday's contest against Northwestern State is set for 6:05 p.m. and a large crowd is expected for the in-state game against the FCS Demons. The game will not be televised but video and audio will be streamed live on LA Tech All-Access and the C-USA Digital Network (subscription-only).

Those fans coming to the game are reminded of the Joe Aillet Stadium Bag Policy where all bags/backpacks will be searched prior to entry into the stadium. Items that are prohibited include:

• Alcohol

• Animals of any variety (except for service animals)

• Artificial noisemakers

• Bags or backpacks larger than 12 x 12

• Coolers, ice chests, bottles, cans, cups (or containers of any kind)

• Laser pointers

• Outside food or drink

• Tobacco products (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and cigars are not permitted)

• Umbrellas

• Weapons of any kind - including pocket knives, multi-functional tools and any other items that are deemed inappropriate

There will be specified gates on each side of the stadium designated for bag checks. Fans entering the stadium with bags should follow signs to those gates in order to expedite entry.

Also, a reminder that Louisiana Tech is a tobacco free campus and use of any type of tobacco products in the tailgating areas or inside Joe Aillet Stadium is strictly prohibited.
