RUSTON ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢'Â¬" The Louisiana Tech women's tennis team looks to remain perfect at home come Wednesday when they play host to Stephen F. Austin at 2 p.m. at the LA Tech Tennis Complex.
LA Tech (10-8) is a perfect 3-0 on its home courts this season and has won 10 of the last 11.
The Lady Techsters had their three-match winning streak come to an end this past Sunday in a narrow 4-3 loss at SMU.
Sophomore Sonia Chen and senior Marta Sramkova are each on a four-match singles winning streak. Chen has had impressive wins at South Alabama and SMU during her streak.
Meanwhile, Sramkova also has a four-match doubles winning streak with her partner freshman Nadja Manjon.
Stephen F. Austin (7-8) is coming off a 5-2 loss to Northwestern State. Prior to that defeat, they had won three of their last four matches.
Denise Maxl anchors the team at the No. 1 position in singles with an 8-7 mark. Leading the squad in singles wins though is Liza Aginskaya who has an impressive 10-2 record, playing primarily from the No. 5 and No. 6 spots.
LA Tech and SFA played each other last season in Nacogdoches. The Lady Techsters came out on top in that match by a final score of 6-1.
