SHAWNEE, Okla. – The No. 6 Louisiana Tech women's bowling team finished third at the SWIBC IV with 6,224 total pins on Sunday in Shawnee, Okla.
"The girls bowled well today," head coach
Matt Nantais said. "We had decent scores throughout. We struggled a couple of times to keep the momentum going but were able to get back on track. Although we did not finish how we would have liked, we got some good experience to take with us to the USBC Sectionals."
Sunday's event consisted of six traditional matches with the winner being decided by total pins. Wichita State won the event with 6,446 total pins followed by No. 16 Stephen F. Austin with 6,330. No. 6 Louisiana Tech (6,224), Newman (5,901) and West Texas A&M (5,812) rounded out the top five team scores.

Kaitlyn Eder led LA Tech individually after finishing third with an average of 222.83 to earn a spot on the all-tournament team.

Ashley Channell also finished in the top-10 after placing eighth with an average of 214.5. Sophomore

Danielle Jedlicki (201.67, 19th) and junior
Lindsay Manning (195.67, 20th) rounded out Tech's scoring at the event.
Selections for the 2021 National Collegiate Women's Bowling Championship will be announced on Wednesday, March 31, via web stream at 3 p.m. on NCAA.com. The 2021 championship will be hosted April 7-10 at the AMF Pro Bowl Lanes in North Kansas City, Mo.
