Mora, Sant'Anna Receive All-Louisiana Honors
RUSTON, La. ? Louisiana Tech volleyball standouts Cristine Sant?Anna and Lia Mora added two more honors on Friday as the pair was named to the All-Louisiana volleyball team selected by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
Sant?Anna became the first Lady Techster to earned a first-team honor since 1993 by being named to the All-Louisiana first team.
Both players were second-team honorees last season.
Sant?Anna averaged 4.18 kills per game and 2.84 digs per game for the Lady Techsters. The senior posted several marks that put her among the all-time best at Tech including having 439 kills (3rd most ever) and the 4.18 kills per game average is second all-time. The Sao Paulo, Brazil native also became just the fourth person ever to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career at Tech.
Mora also had a stellar season that led to a second-team selection after being a second-team All-WAC selection last month.
The Sorocaba, Brazil native averaged 11.97 assists per game and 1.47 kills per game from her setter position. Mora will enter her senior year with 3,628 career assists, which is second all-time at Tech. Mora recorded the first two triple-doubles in school history against Rice and UMKC.
