Louisiana Tech vs. Texas Southern Preview
LA Tech returns home Wednesday night to face Texas Southern at 6:30 p.m. inside the Thomas Assembly Center on Karl Malone Court. The matchup will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Chris Mycoskie and Teddy Allen calling the action.
The Bulldogs had their four-game winning streak snapped this past Saturday with a 90-81 loss at NC State. They found themselves down 15 midway through the first half, but were able to cut the deficit down to as much as four. Despite shooting 50.8 percent from the field and scoring 80+ points for the fourth straight game, the Wolfpack made a season-high 11 three-pointers to hang on to the win.
LA Tech (4-2) puts its 11-game home winning streak on the line against Texas Southern (0-6) who is winless on the season, having suffered losses on the road to Oregon, Saint Mary's, Washington, Air Force, NC State and BYU. Four of those six losses have come by single digits while the Tigers are in the midst of a 13-game road swing to begin the season.
This will be just the third meeting between LA Tech and Texas Southern and the first since 2000. The Bulldogs have won both previous matchups.
