RUSTON (Sept. 25) - Louisiana Tech running back John Simon rushed for a career-high 128 yards on 21 carries to earn the Offensive Player of the Week award handed out by the Bulldog coaches Monday.

Simon, who recorded the first 100-yard rushing game of his career in Tech's 22-10 loss at Tulsa, also caught three passes for 29 yards and one touchdown.

Junior rover Bobby Gray and senior defensive lineman Michael Boone earned the Co-Defensive Player of the Week accolades for their efforts. Gray, who missed the last game due to post-concussion syndrome, returned to total a team-best 15 tackles, including nine solo stops.

Boone was recognized for his efforts in the trenches after registering five tackles, including three solo tackles before leaving the game in the fourth quarter with an injury.
