About Us

In the lower level of the Thomas Assembly Center is the Student-Athlete Success Center. The Student-Athlete Success Center in the TAC showcases 34 desktop computers for use by student-athletes, tutoring services, is home to the Louisiana Tech Athletic Academic Advisors, as well as the hub for Life Skills and the SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee). The Dog Pound (as it has come to be known as by the student-athletes) has study tables, white boards, and a smartboard to help the student-athletes study, complete homework, and excel academically.

The center is open Monday-Thursday from 8-9, Friday from 8-2 and Sunday from 2-8 P.M. Tutoring is available to student-athletes by appointment, set up through their Athletic Academic Advisors and their GradesFirst portal. Laptops are available to check out for use during team travel.
