Bulldogs, Lady Techsters Saturday Practices Open to the Public
RUSTON - Both Louisiana Tech basketball teams will begin fall workouts Saturday morning with open practices and intrasquad scrimmages prior to the Bulldogs homecoming football contest against Hawaii at 2 p.m.
Head coach Kurt Budke's Lady Techsters will begin practice at 9 a.m. and are scheduled to conduct an intra-squad scrimmage starting around 9:30 a.m. Budke returns seven letter winners and four starters off last year's squad that posted a 31-3 mark and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Bulldog head coach Keith Richard and Co. will practice from 11 a.m. to noon and then conduct an intra-squad scrimmage as well. Richard welcomes five newcomers to this year's team, including a talented junior college class and the 2003 Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year Paul Millsap from Grambling High School.
Both practices are open to the general public free of charge.
