Tech Hosts Southern Sports Tonight

RUSTON - In conjunction with the biggest home football game in the program's history, Louisiana Tech will host the well-known Southern Sports Tonight radio talk show Wednesday at Independence Stadium in Shreveport.

Co-host and owner Scott McKinney will broadcast live from the Club Level in Independence Stadium from 5 to 8 p.m. the Wednesday night prior to Louisiana Tech's season opener against Miami. All Louisiana Tech fans are invited to attend.

McKinney and co-host Max Howell will interview Louisiana Tech athletic director Jim Oakes, Bulldog head coach Jack Bicknell, WAC Commissioner Karl Benson, Shreveport Times sports editor Scott Ferrell, Tech team doctor William Bundrick and the long-time voice of the Bulldogs Dave Nitz.

Stations in Louisiana carrying the show include KDBS-AM 1410 in Alexandria, WSKR-AM 1210 in Baton Rouge, KJEF-AM 1290 in Jennings, KYTX-FM 105.1 in Jonesville, KPEL-FM 105.1 in Lafayette, KLCL-AM 1470 in Lake Charles, KMLB-AM 1440 in Monroe, KNOC-AM 1450 in Natchitoches and KQLQ-FM 103.1 in Columbia.
