RUSTON - Louisiana Tech signee Eboni Mangum is one of the nation's top 20 girls basketball players selected to participate in the 14th annual Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-America Game, presented by Nike.

The contest will be played April 2 at the University of Indianapolis' Nicoson Hall in Indianapolis, Indiana, during the Final Four weekend. The game is scheduled to tip-off during the "WBCA Night of All-Stars" at 4:30 p.m. followed by the WBCA All-Star Challenge.

Mangum, a 5-foot-8-inch shooting guard from Houston's John Foster Dulles High school, inked with Tech during the early signing period in November. Rated as the 18th best high school senior in the country by Michael White's All-Star Girls Report, Mangum is the lone representative from the state of Texas on the WBCA team.

So far thus year, Mangum has led her team to a 32-1 mark, a No. 1 ranking in Class 5A in Texas and a No. 2 ranking nationally by the USA Today as Dulles began the state playoffs Thursday night with a second round match-up.

Mangum is averaging 20.3 points per game - second best in the Houston area - along with 3.8 assists, 3.8 steals and 3.6 rebounds per game. She has hit 41 percent of her field goals, 63 percent of her free throws and has connected on 58 of 187 three-pointers.

"I was a little concerned when she signed early how she would perform during her senior year but I couldn't have asked for more from Eboni," Dulles coach Doug Lechtenberger said. "She had a little wrist problem early in the year but is fine now. She is a special player."
