Softball to Host ULM in Tuesday Matchup

RUSTON, La. ? The Louisiana Tech softball team will play home games on Tuesday and Wednesday beginning with a single game against Louisiana-Monroe at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tech will take on McNeese State on Wednesday in a 4 p.m. doubleheader.

The Lady Techsters (16-18) went 2-2 at the Missouri Tournament last weekend. Tech posted a pair of wins over UMKC while falling twice to No. 18 Missouri.
Tech topped UMKC 2-1 on Sunday as Kristen Rupp struck out a career high 15 in the victory.

The Lady Techsters dropped a 6-1 decision to the Tigers on Sunday as Missouri moved to 25-2 on the season.

Ashley Cameron leads Tech with seven home runs and 21 RBI as the Lady Techsters have already slugged a school record 21 home runs on the season.

Brittany Stanley has scored 16 runs and is hitting .267 for the Lady Techsters.
Lindsey Meadows (11-12) will likely start for Tech on Tuesday. The senior has posted a 3.13 earned run average in 147 2/3 innings on the season.

ULM is coming off a three game sweep at the hands of Sam Houston State by scores of 6-0, 11-1 and 22-1 over the weekend.

The Lady Indians (10-25) are hitting .207 as a team led by Heather Williams at .263 with six home runs and 19 RBI.

Daniel Lahr leads ULM with four victories on the season.

The teams will also meet April 12th in Monroe.
