BOISE, Idaho ? Boise State showed Louisiana Tech why it?s the 20th ranked team in the country as the Broncos downed the Bulldogs 55-14 Saturday night at Bronco Stadium.
After Tech recovered a Boise State fumble on the opening kickoff, the Bulldogs capitalized to take a 7-0 lead on Patrick Jackson?s 1-yard touchdown run at the 12:55 mark. It was Jackson?s third rushing touchdown of the season.
However, Tech?s momentum was short-lived as Boise State scored 55 unanswered points before the Bulldogs added a late score on freshman Daniel Porter?s first career touchdown run.
?I talked to the players about overcoming adversity,? said Tech head coach Jack Bicknell following the game. ?Life is not always easy. We have some things we have to correct, but we are going to get back to work tomorrow and get ready for Idaho. We are going to get better.?
Boise State quarterback Jared Zabransky led the Broncos offensive attack, rushing for 54 yards and two scores while passing for another 184 yards and two touchdowns.
Jackson led Tech with 70 yards and one score while Porter added a career-high 65 yards and one touchdown.
Tech will return to action Saturday when the Bulldogs host Idaho at 6 p.m. at Joe Aillet Stadium for homecoming.
