Tech Faces Nevada Friday
RUSTON - The Louisiana Tech softball team returns to Western Athletic Conference action tomorrow on the road in Reno when it faces the University of Nevada Wolf Pack at Idlewild Park in a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
Tech (17-27, 5-9 WAC) is looking for another conference win after splitting a doubleheader with No. 22 ranked Fresno State last week in Ruston.
In conference statistics, the Techsters are led offensively by junior Jessica Elson ? WAC Hitter of the Week for the week of May 1 ? (.478, 2 2B, 1 HR, 6 RBI), sophomore Regan Clark (.395, 4 2B, 2 HR, 11 RBI) and freshman Emma Barnes (.364, 3 2B, 2 3B, 2 RBI). Tech ranks third in the WAC in team batting with a .284 average.
Nevada (26-28, 7-7 WAC) is led by Kaycee Wilcks (.357, 1 2B, 3 RBI), Sarah Hunt (.333, 11 2B, 3 HR, 21 RBI) and Brittany Lorenzen (.306, 7 2 B, 1 3B, 8 HR, 20 RBI).
The Wolf Pack leads the all-time series against the Techsters 4-7.
