RUSTON ? Louisiana Tech head coach Derek Dooley announced Saturday that he has finalized all position assignments for his assistants on his newly completed coaching staff.

Dooley, who completed his staff Friday with the addition of Eric Russell, said he is very happy about the staff that he has organized for the upcoming season.

?I?m very proud of the coaches on our staff,? Dooley said. ?They are quality coaches who all bring with them a history of success. More importantly, they are all men of tremendous character who care about the players they coach as people.?

Dooley said that his offensive staff would include offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Frank Scelfo, wide receivers coach Conroy Hines, offensive line coach Pete Perot, running backs coach Brent Indest, special teams coordinator/tight end coach Eric Russell.

The Tech defensive staff would include defensive coordinator Tommy Spangler, assistant head coach/defensive line coach Ed Jackson, linebackers coach Kenny Evans and recruiting coordinator/defensive backs coach Terry Joseph.

Dooley and his staff continue to work tirelessly on Tech?s upcoming recruiting class which will be announced at the Feb. 7 CHAMPS Signing Day Luncheon. The Bulldogs are scheduled to open spring workouts in late March.
