RUSTON, La. ? Louisiana Tech quarterback Zac Champion rallied his team from behind to get a win Saturday and earned Louisiana Sports Writers Association Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Champion, who was demoted from his starter position earlier in the week, entered the game midway through the second quarter and led the Bulldogs to victory with a fourth quarter rally. With Tech down 21-9 in the fourth, Champion orchestrated two scoring drives in the closing minutes and was a perfect 10-for-10 passing on those two drives.

He completed 22 of 35 passes overall for 215 yards and two touchdowns. The second touchdown put Tech ahead by one point with 1:53 remaining in the game and give the Bulldogs their first win in conference play this season.
