VALENCIA, Spain -- Former Louisiana Tech star and 2007 All-American Miriam Barnes helped the United States to a third place finish in the 4x400 at the 12th IAAF World Indoor Championships Sunday night.

Barnes ran the second leg for the team that finished with a time of 3 minutes, 29.30 seconds finishing behind only Russia and Belarus while defeating the Czech Republic, Romania and Poland.

While at Tech, Barnes was a multiple conference champion and earned All-American honors in the 4x400 last season in both indoor and outdoor and as a hurdler.
