LOGAN, Utah - Game Captains: #11 Ross Jenkins and #52 Thomas Graham

Phillip Livas set a career record as he became the sixth Louisiana Tech player to record a 100-yard kickoff return in school history. The last LA Tech player to achieve that feat was Patrick Jackson vs. Fresno State in 2006.

Livas' 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown marked Livas' sixth career return for a touchdown, setting a Louisiana Tech school record. Larry Anderson had previously held the record with five returns for a touchdown (three punt returns and two kick returns). Livas has recorded three punt returns for a touchdown (the last being an 85-yard return against Navy on Sept. 12) and three kickoff returns for a touchdown.

Daniel Porter moved into sixth place in the school's record book as he raised his career rushing yardage total to 2,813 yards, moving past Charles McDaniel (1971-74). Porter is now 11 yards shy of matching Patrick Jackson's 2,824 career rushing yards accumulated from 2005-08.

R.P. Stuart's 26-yard reception from Ross Jenkins in the end zone with 10:38 remaining in the fourth quarter marked Stuart's first touchdown of the season.

Louisiana Tech lost to Utah State for the first time since 1994 and the first loss in Logan, Utah since 1993.

With the loss, Louisiana Tech is now 0-4 on the road. The Bulldogs entered a stretch of four road games in five weeks starting with Saturday's game at Utah State.

Phillip Livas' streak of 29 consecutive games played with a reception came to end Saturday at Utah State.

Louisiana Tech was 0-for-9 on third down conversions before Tech's eight play, 66-yard drive for a touchdown resulted in the Bulldogs' first third down conversion of the game.

Roosevelt Falls recorded a career-best 29-yard reception in the game.

Louisiana Tech recorded a total of 66 offensive yards in the first half, the fewest amount of yards recorded in a first half this season and the second time LA Tech has posted under 100 offensive yards in the first half of a game this season (98 yards in first half at Nevada).

Utah State was flagged for its first penalty at the 7:58 mark in the second quarter after LA Tech had been flagged six times prior.

Lyle Fitte's fumble lost early in the second quarter was only the fourth fumble lost in 12 fumbles this season.

Louisiana Tech played an opponent to a scoreless first quarter for the first time since Nov. 8, 2008 when the Bulldogs faced San Jose State in San Jose, Calif. - a span of 10 games.

For the first time in a road game this season, Louisiana Tech did not score a touchdown on its first possession of the game.

Olajuwon Paige made his first career start Saturday.
