RUSTON - The Louisiana Tech Athletic Department announced today that the women's basketball home game between the Lady Techsters and Alcorn State has been canceled.

The contest was originally scheduled to be part of a two-game series between the two programs with the teams meeting at the Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston on Nov. 28. Tech would return the game to Alcorn State as part of its schedule in 2010-11.

However, Alcorn State has decided that it will not participate in the series. All Lady Techster season ticket holders will be allotted the same number of tickets that they bought for the Alcorn State game to any other women's game this season (except LSU).

Tech ticket manager Zach Williams said season ticket holders should bring their Alcorn State tickets up to the ticket office in order to redeem them for alternate tickets.

The Lady Techsters lead the all-time series against Alcorn State 8-0 and have never lost against a current member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Tech, which won its opener 88-41 over Centenary, will return to action Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Nicholls State. The Lady Techsters next home game will be Dec. 1 against LSU at 7 p.m.
