Phillip Livas recorded 75 yards on three kickoff returns in the game, bringing his career kickoff return yardage to 1,742 yards. During the game, Livas surpassed Patrick Jackson (2005-07) for second all-time at Louisiana Tech in career kickoff return yardage.
Despite suffering a mild concussion last week at Idaho, Daniel Porter ran for 92 yards on 24 carries. Porter now has 2,952 career rushing yards, vaulting him to third all-time in school history in career rushing yards. With three games remaining in the season, Porter has is 48 yards from becoming only the third player in school history to record 3,000 career rushing yards. Porter is 390 yards from tying the school record of 3,342 rushing yards set by Jason Cooper (1991-94).
Daniel Porter scored his 25th career rushing touchdown. Porter is ranked seventh all-time at Louisiana Tech in career rushing touchdowns.
Josh Victorian recorded his second career interception in the game, running the INT back 75 yards for a touchdown early in the third quarter. The interception was his second in as many games as he recorded his first career interception at Idaho last week.
Matt Nelson recovered his first on-side kick attempt in his career, recovering the ball with 1:30 to play in the third quarter.
The announced attendance of 23,240 is the largest home crowd of the season for Louisiana Tech and the largest crowd at Joe Aillet Stadium since Aug. 30, 2008 when Tech defeated Mississippi State, 22-14, in front of 25,224 at home. Through four home games, Tech is averaging 21,169 fans per game at Joe Aillet Stadium.
Friday night's contest marked the ninth consecutive time Boise State has scored at least 30 points against Louisiana Tech.
The 10-point loss was the closest Louisiana Tech has come from upending a top-25 team since the 2007 season when Tech fell against No. 20 Hawai'I, 45-44 in overtime, in Ruston.
The 10-point margin of defeat is the closest the Bulldogs have come from upending Boise State since the 2003 season when LA Tech dropped a six point decision, 43-37.
The 35 points scored by Louisiana Tech is the most a Tech team has scored on Boise State since scoring 37 in a 43-37 defeat in 2003.
