Post-Game Notes: Louisiana Tech at Navy

* LA Tech Game Captains: #25 Deon Young and #49 Dennis Morris

* Saturday's game marked Louisiana Tech's first game against the Naval Academy and Tech's first game played in the state of Maryland.

* Antonio Baker recorded 12 tackles in the game. Baker, who recorded 14 tackles against Army last season, has 26 total tackles against the service academies.

* Louisiana Tech's scoring drive on the first possession of the game marked the first time Tech has driven down the field for a touchdown in the first possession since Oct. 18, 2008 against Idaho.

* LA Tech totaled 74 total yards on its opening possession but only 95 the rest of the game.

* Phillip Livas' 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown - a career long for Livas - was LA Tech's first punt return for a touchdown since Livas returned a punt 81 yards against Fresno State on Nov. 1, 2008.

* Livas' punt return for a touchdown marked the first time an opponent has returned a punt for a touchdown since Delaware achieved the feat in 2004.

* Phillip Livas tied Larry Anderson's school record for career punt returns for touchdowns (three) and career total punt + kickoff returns for touchdowns (five).

* Livas' 85-yard punt return ranks tied for fifth in school history for the longest punt return. Livas matched Jack Lestage's 85-yard punt return against Southeastern Louisiana in 1960.

* Livas' punt return for a touchdown marks the sixth time in the last eight games that LA Tech has scored a touchdown in the team's second possession of the game.

* Phillip Livas tallied 85 yards on punt returns, moving him into eighth place all-time in Louisiana Tech's career punt return yardage record book. Livas is only 19 yards away from matching Eddie Brown's (1989-90) mark of 398 career punt return yards. Brown is ranked seventh in school history in the category.

* Phillip Livas tallied 52 yards on kickoff returns, moving him into fourth place in school history for career kickoff return yardage with 1,447 kickoff return yards. Livas passed Derrick Douglas' (1986-89) mark of 1,373 career kickoff return yards.

* Three LA Tech players - Christian Lacey, D.J. Morrow and Houston Tuminello - made their first career start Saturday.

* Lon Roberts and Antonio Baker recorded a team-leading 27th consecutive start Saturday.

* Linebacker Jay Dudley recorded a career-high nine tackles in the game. Linebacker Solomon Randle also had a career-high with five tackles.
