LAKE CHARLES - Louisiana Tech banged out a season-high 10 hits to down Buffalo 5-2 in the first game of the McNeese State Cowgirl Classic Saturday morning.

Amberly Waits recorded three hits while Jessica Kirby added two hits and two RBI as the Lady Techsters came back from an early 1-0 deficit to win the contest.

Junior Meghan Krieg (3-2) picked up the win, allowing two earned runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out eight.

Tech will play McNeese State at 12:30 p.m. and then Buffalo at 4:45 p.m. today. More to come on all three games later today.
