Weatherspoon to Be Featured on ESPN.com Friday

RUSTON - In conjunction with ESPN.com's coverage of Black History Month, Louisiana Tech head coach Teresa Weatherspoon will be featured on an on-line chat Friday at 1 p.m. CT.

Weatherspoon is in her scond season at the helm of the Lady Techster basketball program and has led LA Tech to a mark of 24-8 during her time as head coach, including a 15-6 mark this year.

The two-time Kodak All-American and 1988 Wade Trophy winner is one of the most recognizable names in the women's game after her eight-year WNBA career which included two WNBA Defensive Player of the Year awards. Weatherspoon also led the United States to the 1988 Olympic gold medal.

Weatherspoon is being recognized for her contributions to the game by being inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee this summer - the sixth member of the Lady Techster family to earn such an honor.
