RUSTON - Louisiana Tech fans wishing to help celebrate the Lady Techster basketball team's WAC Tournament championship and successful return to the NCAA Tournament can do so by joining the entire team and coaching staff on Friday, April 16 at 7 p.m. for the appreciation banquet.

Tickets for the event which will be held at the Tech Student Center cost $20 per person or a reserved table of eight for $240 and can be purchased by calling the Marbury Alumni House at 318-255-7950 by Friday, April 9.

The guest speaker for the banquet is former Tech three-time Kodak All-American Pam Kelly Flowers, who led the Lady Techsters to four Final Fours and the 1981 and 1982 national titles. Kelly Flowers is still the program's all-time leading scorer and rebounder and one of three Wade Trophy winners.

In addition to the guest speaker, head coach Teresa Weatherspoon and her coaching staff will honor the accomplishments of this year's team, including both team and individual accolades. Tech finished the season with a mark of 23-9, the most wins since 2006, and won the program's first conference tournament title since 2006.

Tech advanced to the program's 26th NCAA Tournament, its first since 2006, and took the ACC champion Florida State Seminoles down to the final minute before falling in the first round.

The banquet will also feature a highlight video of this season as well as an awards presentation.
