RUSTON--In the last match before conference play, the Lady Techster tennis team picked a home match win over Grambling State Thursday.
"I thought the girls played well today," head coach Quintin Yray said. "They are still working on certain technical and tactical things in their games which we would like to use in our conference matches. Everyone won in straight sets and things went well for us. We are now preparing for conference matches."
Tech's Vivian ten Dolle and Maartje de Wit were each equally as impressive as they won their doubles match 8-3 in the number one slot as well as winning their matches in the number one and number two positions in singles. Freshman Alena Erofeyeva is currently on a nine match winning streak.
The Techsters will return to action this weekend as they begin the conference schedule taking on Nevada and New Mexico State on Friday in Reno, Nevada.
