POST-GAME NOTES
• North Texas scored 28 unanswered points to defeat LA Tech, 28-13. The win by the Mean Green ties the all-time series 6-6.
• North Texas' first road win of the season also snapped a drought of 26 straight games following a win to notch their first winning streak since 2004.
• The loss was the first time LA Tech has been defeated on Homecoming since a 24-14 loss to Idaho on Oct. 14, 2006.
• Today's contest was the first time this season LA Tech has lost when holding a double-digit lead.
• LA Tech was held to just 37 yards rushing. The last time the Bulldogs were held to under 50 yards rushing as a team was Sept. 25, 2010 in a 13-12 loss to Southern Miss (47 yards).
• Today's announced attendance was 20,317. This marked the 32nd time Joe Aillet Stadium has hosted a football crowd of over 20,000.
• LA Tech captains were D.J. Banks, IK Enemkpali, Matt Shepperd and Beau Fitte.
• North Texas won the coin toss and elected to defer to the second half.
• Richie Casey registered a 26-yard reception in the first quarter to set up the first touchdown for LA Tech. It was his longest reception of the season.
• Quarterback Ryan Higgins rushed for two yards into the endzone to give LA Tech a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. It was Higgins' third rushing touchdown of the season. He became the first Tech quarterback to ever rush for a TD versus the Mean Green.
• North Texas got on the board with a 61-yard touchdown completion with 3:53 left in the first half. That was the longest amount of time the LA Tech defense has held their opponent scoreless to start a game before allowing a touchdown this season.
• Redshirt freshman wide receiver Jaydrick DeClouette recorded his first career catch as a Bulldog, a five-yard reception in the second quarter.
• Higgins threw an interception that resulted in a touchdown for the Mean Green. It was returned 56 yards for the score. North Texas took their first lead of the game, 14-10. That was the first pick-six LA Tech has thrown since versus Hawai'i in 2011.
• Wide receiver D.J. Banks completed a 24-yard pass to Jaydrick DeClouette in the fourth quarter. It was his first career pass attempt and completion as a Bulldog.
• Higgins threw a second interception late in the fourth quarter. It was the first time in five games played that he has thrown multiple interceptions.
• Wide receiver Andrew Guillot had a career-high 10 receptions that resulted in a team-high 99 yards receiving. It was the second time this season a LA Tech receiver (D.J. Banks) had at least 10 receptions in a single game.
• Defensive end IK Enemkpali snatched his second career interception. He also had an interception in the 2013 season opener at NC State.
• Linebacker Mitch Villemez broke up a pass on fourth down by North Texas in the first quarter forcing a turnover on downs.
• Safety Thomas McDonald had a team-high 11 tackles. It was the third time this season he has recorded at least 10 tackles in a game.
• Senior Lyle Fitte returned the opening kickoff 29 yards.
• Logan McPherson had five punts for an average of 35.8 yards per punt. The freshman had two punts downed inside the 20 bringing his season total to 14.
• Kyle Fischer made his lone extra point attempt, improving his season total to 14-15 on PATs.
• Kyle Fischer connected on 40-yard field goal with 6:13 remaining in the second quarter that gave LA Tech a 10-0 lead. He missed on a 25-yarder to end the first half. The attempt hit off the left upright. He later made a 35-yard field goal making him 10-of-15 on the season.
