NC State jumps out to an early10-point lead in the first five minutes and holds on for the three-point victory. DigiDixon - that's a digital Kenneth Dixon - runs for 94 yards on 16 carries with two touchdowns, including one with 1:12 remaining, but Tech's on-side kick fails and the Wolfpack hang on for the win. Game two for the Bulldogs showcases a much improved defense with two defensive scores in a 35-14 win over an unnamed FCS Southeast team (we'll assume EA Sports meant Lamar in this case). A digital Kendall Hayes steps up with a 10-yard interception return in the second quarter but early on in the first quarter a rookie makes a name for himself as a digital Xavier Woods gets a 24-yard pick-six. FCS Southeast (Lamar) netted a pick-six of its own. Offensively, the Bulldogs rack up 302 total offensive yards, going 3-for-3 in the red zone and showcasing a methodical but effective passing game led by a 21-for-46 passing performance by a digital Scotty Young with two scores, one interception and 228 yards.

The Bulldogs easily net their first league win as a member of Conference USA as the Green Wave fall behind early and never recover. LA Tech holds a 21-10 lead at halftime thanks to two touchdown passes to DigJi Banks and a run by DigiDixon. A digital Banks and a digital Hunter Lee add two scores in the fourth quarter as LA Tech only outgains Tulane 327-306 but takes advantage of four Green Wave turnovers and goes 5-for-6 in the red zone. Banks leads the team with 61 yards on eight catches while Dixon runs for 78 yards on 14 carries. Young pases for 176 yards and three touchdowns in a 21-for-46 performance with no interceptions.

Louisiana Tech makes it three consecutive years the Bulldogs have upset an AQ team on the road with a 29-21 win at Kansas. LA Tech runs out to a 16-point lead with a 35-yard touchdown catch by Banks and three field goals by a digital Jonathan Barnes before Kansas has a chance to respond. The two teams score a combined three touchdowns in an exciting final 3:17 in the first half. LA Tech racks up 387 yards of offense and takes advantage of five KU turnovers but the ground game is halted, running for only 75 yards on 31 carries. A digital Scotty Toung is 24-for-48 for 312 yards with two touchdowns and two picks while all five turnovers on the KU side came from interceptions of a digital Jake Heaps.

Army and LA Tech trade blows throughout the game but the Cadets are able to pound in one final touchdown with less than 30 seconds left in the game to edge the Bulldogs, 31-24, in a thrilling Heart of Dallas Classic game played at the Cotton Bowl. A digital Jon Greenwalt steps up on Tech's side with two touchdown catches as part of a 233-yard receiving day. A digital IK Enemkpali led the Bulldog defense with 15 total tackles, eight tackles for a loss and three sacks. However the mechanical and powerful Army offense churned out 463 yards of offense including 301 yards rushing as the Cadets had two players rush for over 100 yards in the game.
