GRAMBLING, La. - Louisiana Tech received offensive contributions throughout its lineup to defeat Grambling State 11-5 Wednesday afternoon at Tigers Softball Field.

The Lady Techsters (31-15) banged out 13 hits and took advantage of four GSU errors as head coach Mark Montgomery substituted freely throughout the game.

Tech scored four runs in the third and three more in both the fourth and fifth innings to pull away for its 31st victory of the season. The Lady Techsters got solid pitching performances by freshmen Bailey Allen and Carolina Sanchez, who combined to allow only four hits while striking out nine.

Sanchez (3-1) earned the win, tossing 4.0 innings of action while allowing three runs - two earned - on one hit and three walks with two strikeouts. Allen tossed the first 3.0 innings, allowing two runs - one earned - on three hits while striking out seven, including the first six outs of the game.

Offensively, Tech got production from Karlee Jensen (3-3, 2 runs, 2 RBI), Lindsey Neyland (2-4, 2 runs), Katie Smith (2-4, 1 run), Krysta Tutsch (2-3, 1 RBI), Kristen Miles (1-3, 2 runs, 1 RBI), Sanchez (1-2, 1 run, 1 RBI), Courtney Lowe (1-1, 1 run, 1 RBI), Amanda Gray (1-1), Pauline Tufi (1 RBI), Kassie Harris (1 run, 1 RBI), and Casey Ingram (1 run) and Janine Godwin (2 SB).

The Lady Techsters will wrap up the regular season this weekend when they travel to face UTSA in a three-game series in San Antonio. Saturday's DH and Sunday's single game are both scheduled for 1 p.m.
