POST-GAME NOTES
- LA Tech captains were Kentrell Brice, Vernon Butler, Jeff Driskel and Kenneth Dixon.
- Tonight's attendance: 17,515.
- The 41-38 loss snapped a three-game winning streak over the Hilltoppers. LA Tech still leads the all-time series over WKU, 3-2.
- The last three and four of the last five losses suffered by the Bulldogs have come by three points.
- Since 1989 when LA Tech moved to Division 1-A, the Bulldogs are now 6-11 in non-Saturday games.
- LA Tech is now 1-2 in Conference USA openers.
- LA Tech won the coin toss and elected to defer to the second half.

OFFENSE
- The LA Tech offense accounted for 580 total yards. Versus Southern in the season opener, the Bulldogs recorded nearly the same with 587 total yards.
- With 168 yards rushing, Kenneth Dixon has eclipsed 100 yards for the 19th time in his career and for the fifth time in the last six games.
- With two rushing touchdowns, Kenneth Dixon has now scored at least two touchdowns in eight of the last nine games. For his career, he has registered multiple scores in 18 games.
- With the two touchdowns, Dixon is now tied for seventh in the NCAA with career overall touchdowns (65) and has scored a touchdown in 31 career games.
- Dixon finished the night with 209 all-purpose yards, marking the fourth time in his career he has recorded 200+ all-purpose yards.
- Jeff Driskel finished the night 28-of-48 for 357 yards. The 48 passing attempts and 357 passing yards set new career highs.
- Jeff Driskel accounted for three touchdowns (two passing and one rushing). He has now recorded eight touchdowns in the first two games of the season combined.
- Trent Taylor led the Bulldog receivers with nine receptions for 119 yards and one touchdown. The junior leads the team with 12 career touchdowns and has also registered a receiving touchdown in six of the last eight games.
- Trent Taylor recorded his third career 100+ yard receiving game. The 119 receiving yards was one short of tying his career high.
- Trent Taylor's nine receptions tied his career high (had nine against WKU last season on Nov. 1, 2014).
- Paul Turner pulled in seven receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown. It marked his fifth career touchdown reception and second career 100+ receiving game.
- Freshmen O'Shea Dugas (left guard) and Kameron McKnight (wide receiver) made their first career starts.
- Jeff Driskel connected with Trent Taylor for a 13-yard touchdown with 8:16 left in the second quarter. Driskel accounted for 68 of the 75 yards on the scoring drive.
- Kenneth Dixon powered in for a six-yard rushing touchdown with 4:26 left in the second quarter. It marked his 55th career rushing touchdown.
- Kenneth Dixon had a one-yard rush for a touchdown with 10:01 remaining in the third quarter. It marked his 56th career rushing touchdown.
- Jeff Driskel scored on a quarterback keeper at the goal line with 2:22 left in the fourth quarter. It is his second game as a Bulldog with a rushing TD.
-\ After a low snap, Jeff Driskel threw it up in the end zone for a 21-yard touchdown to Paul Turner with 27 seconds left in the game.

DEFENSE
- The Bulldog defense registered six tackles-for-loss. It marked the 13th time in the last 14 games they have had at least six.
- LA Tech's streak of 10 consecutive games with an interception was snapped.
- LA Tech forced a fumble midway through the first quarter and recovered it in the end zone. C.J. Cleveland was credited with the forced fumble and Kentrell Brice recovered it. This marked the 11th straight game the Bulldogs have forced a turnover.
- It marked Cleveland's first career forced fumble and Brice's third career fumble recovery.
- The Bulldogs have gone 18 consecutive games against a conference opponent having forced a turnover. That includes all opponents in Conference USA since joining the league in 2013. The last time without a turnover was Nov. 17, 2012 against Utah State.
- Secdrick Cooper and Deldrick Canty combined for the lone sack for the LA Tech defense.
- Beau Fitte recorded a game-high and career-high 12 tackles.
- Nick Thomason finished the night with 10 tackles, including two tackles-for-loss which tied a career high.

SPECIAL TEAMS
- Jonathan Barnes connected on his one field goal attempt, a 37-yarder with 12:53 left in the second quarter. He is now 3-for-3 on the season.
- Jonathan Barnes was a perfect 5-for-5 on extra point attempts. He is now 13-of-13 on the season.
- Gerald Shouse punted four times for 170 yards with an average of 42.5. He registered two punts of 50+ yards and two punts inside the 20-yard line.
- Carlos Henderson had five kickoff returns for 129 yards. The sophomore moved into 10th in program history in kick return yards (now has 977).
