RUSTON, La. - Coming off of a 5-0 weekend at the LA Tech Invitational, the Lady Techsters are back in action at the Lady Techster Softball Complex, when they host Grambling State on Thursday at 5 p.m. to kick off the LA Tech Classic.

The Louisiana Tech (8-2) pitching staff enters the weekend with a 28 inning scoreless streak and is coming off of a shutout victory over Texas State, who was receiving top 25 votes entering the weekend. Freshman pitcher Preslee Gallaway pitched 18 scoreless innings during the LA Tech Invitational, which earned the Texas native Conference USA co-Pitcher of the Week.

The Lady Techsters will face off with Grambling State (1-5) on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the first game of the weekend tournament. Grambling earned their first victory of 2016 defeating Jarvis Christian last Tuesday.

Louisiana Tech will then meet Liberty on Friday at 2:30 p.m. The Lady Techsters and Flames will battle on consecutive weekends as both teams will be participating in the LSU Invitational a week after Friday's meeting.

On Saturday, the Lady Techsters will play Jacksonville State at 5 p.m. The Gamecocks enter the weekend with a 5-5 record.

The Lady Techsters will wrap up action on Sunday at 10 a.m. against Lamar. The Cardinals enter the weekend 8-2 and on a seven game winning streak.
