POSTGAME NOTES
• Louisiana Tech captains were Ryan Higgins, Trent Taylor, Lloyd Grogan and Xavier Woods.

OFFENSE
• The LA Tech offense totaled 727 yards which was the fourth most in program history and the most since 2012.
• The 518 total passing yards combined from the three quarterbacks was the seventh most in a single game in program history.
• Ryan Higgins made his first start since Nov. 23, 2013. The redshirt senior was 34-of-52 for a career-high 409 yards and a career-high four touchdowns. It was his first multi-touchdown performance.
• With the 409 passing yards, Higgins became the 10th quarterback in program history to pass for 400+ in a single game.
• J'Mar Smith saw action in the fourth quarter, going a perfect 4-for-4 for 51 yards and one touchdown. It was the redshirt freshman's first career passing touchdown.
• Redshirt sophomore Price Wilson saw action at quarterback for the second time in his career. He was 3-for-4 for 58 passing yards, including a long of 24.
• Jarred Craft led the way on the ground for the Bulldogs, rushing 11 times for 95 yards. He also had a career-high six receptions for 57 yards, giving the junior 152 yards from scrimmage (new career high).
• Boston Scott had four carries for 62 yards, including a career-long 51 yard scamper for his first career touchdown.
• Trent Taylor hauled in 11 receptions for a career-high 178 yards. The senior also reeled in three touchdown receptions, tying his career high. It was his fourth career game with 2+ touchdown grabs.
• Trent Taylor now has 10 games of 100+ receiving yards, becoming one of only five Bulldog receivers to do so.
• Trent Taylor now has 210 career receptions, becoming one of only six Bulldog receivers to have at least 200.
• Trent Taylor now has 2,632 career receiving yards, moving the senior up to sixth in program history in the category.
• Trent Taylor now has 23 career touchdown receptions, moving him up to fourth in program history in the category.
• Trent Taylor has now led the Bulldogs in receiving yards in 16 games. He has led the team in receiving yards in nine of the last 14 games.
• Wide receiver Kam McKnight set career highs in receptions (six) and receiving yards (67).
• Wide receiver DeJuawn Oliver set career highs in receptions (five) and receiving yards (90) as well as registering his first career touchdown reception.
• Wide receiver Marcus Gaines recorded his fourth career touchdown reception.
OFFENSIVE SCORES
• Ryan Higgins scrambled and found Marcus Gaines in the corner of the end zone for a 24-yard touchdown, putting LA Tech up 12-0 with 7:06 to go in the first quarter.
• Trent Taylor hauled in a six-yard touchdown catch from Ryan Higgins with 8:48 left in the second quarter, giving LA Tech a 19-7 lead.
• Trent Taylor took a screen pass to the end zone for a 21-yard touchdown reception from Ryan Higgins, giving LA Tech a 29-10 lead with 10:51 remaining in the third quarter.
• Trent Taylor caught a bubble screen and took it 35 yards for the score on a pass from Ryan Higgins, giving LA Tech a 36-10 advantage with 8:35 to go in the third quarter.
• Boston Scott took a handoff up the middle and outran everyone for a 51-yard rushing touchdown, giving LA Tech a 46-10 lead with 14:30 left in the fourth quarter.
• J'mar Smith threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to DeJuawn Oliver, giving LA Tech a 53-17 advantage with 8:09 to go in the fourth quarter.
DEFENSE
• The LA Tech defense allowed only 293 yards of offense. The Bulldogs have allowed less than 300 in both games this season.
• Jaylon Ferguson had a sack on South Carolina State's opening drive for a stop on third down. That marked his seventh career sack, most on the team.
• Linebacker Brandon Durman led the Bulldogs with eight tackles, a new career-high.
• Linebacker Dalton Santos registered seven tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss which led the team.
DEFENSIVE SCORES
• Carlos Henderson returned three kickoffs for 111 yards, including a long of 70 to open the second half. The junior now has 1,484 career kickoff returns, moving him into fifth in program history in that category.
• Jonathan Barnes was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goal attempts. He is now up to 39 career made field goals, ranking sixth in program history.
• Jonathan Barnes was also perfect on extra-point attempts, going 6-for-6. He is now 105-for-108 in his career.
SPECIAL TEAMS SCORES
• Jonathan Barnes connected on a 47-yard field goal to give the Bulldogs a 3-0 lead with 9:21 left in the first quarter.
• Jonathan Barnes hit on a 27-yard field goal on the Bulldogs opening drive of the second half, giving LA Tech a 22-10 lead with 13:23 left in the third quarter.
• Jonathan Barnes made a 45-yard field goal, giving LA Tech a 39-10 lead with 4:16 to go in the third quarter.
