MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee exploded over the final three quarters of play to down Louisiana Tech 75-38 Saturday evening at the Murphy Center.

After the two teams battled in the opening quarter – MT led 19-17 after the opening 10 minutes of play – the Blue Raiders clamped down defensively.

Despite struggling in the second quarter, Tech (9-8, 1-3) found itself trailing just 33-25 coming out of the halftime locker room. However, MT outscored the Lady Techsters 42-13 over the final two quarters of action to coast to the victory.

Tech shot just 26 percent (12-46) from the field in the loss, including just 7-of-35 over the final three quarters of play. MT shot 48 percent (29-61) from the field for the game as the Blue Raiders (13-4, 3-1 C-USA) were led by A'Queen Hayes (18 points), Taylor Sutton (16 points) and Alex Johnson 11 points.

Kierra Anthony led Tech with 11 points.

The Lady Techsters will return to action Thursday when they host Old Dominion at 6:30 p.m.
