@LATechWBB Hosts Loyola-New Orleans Tuesday

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech will return to the hardwood Tuesday night when the Lady Techsters host NAIA program Loyola-New Orleans at 6:3 p.m. at the Thomas Assembly Center.

The game can be heard on the LA Tech Sports Network on KNBB 97.7 FM with the pregame show starting at 6 p.m. It can also be seen streamed live on CUSATV.com.

Tech (2-2) has dropped two straight games, including Saturday's loss at Ole Miss. The Lady Techsters have struggled with turnovers in their last two games, combining for 47 in the two contests.

The Lady Techsters opened the season by scoring 80-plus points in the first three games and still rank No. 1 in Conference USA in scoring (77.5 ppg) despite only netting 53 in the loss to the Rebels in Oxford.

Keiunna Walker (13.5 ppg, 17-26 FTs), Grayson Bright (11.3 ppg, 7.8 rpg), Amber Dixon (10.0 ppg, 17-19 FTs) and Amber Hawkison (10.0 ppg, 2.8 spg) all average double figures in scoring while Raizel Guinto (8.0 ppg, 2.5 spg), Anna Larr Roberson (7.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg) and Lotte Sant (7.3 ppg, 6-10 three-pointers) have also recorded double digit scoring games this season.

Loyola-New Orleans is undefeated on the season with a 5-0 record, including a 95-63 win over Blue Mountain College in its last outing. The Wolf Pack have lost two "exhibition" games against Division programs, falling to Tulane (61-38) and UL-Lafayette (67-51).

Kaila Anthony (16.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg), Taylor Thomas (10.6 ppg, 4.3 apg) and Kennedy Hansberry (10.2 ppg, 4.0 apg) lead Loyola New Orleans offensively. As a team the Wolf Pack are scoring 80.2 points per game and shooting 47 percent from the field. Defensively, they are forcing their opponents into more than 22 turnovers per game.

Tech and Loyola-New Orleans have played one common opponent in LSU-Alexandria. Tech defeated the Generals 93-61 while Loyola-New Orleans defeated LSU-Alexandria 81-80.
