RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech freshman Lindsay Edwards was named the Conference USA Co-Hitter of the Week Monday following her performance in the Lady Techsters 4-0 week on the diamond.

Edwards recorded 10 hits in 16 at bats for an impressive .625 batting average while boasting a 1.000 slugging percentage. She had one double, one triple and one home run – her third of the season – during the week while scoring six runs and driving in eight.

The Plano, Texas, native helped Tech outscore its opponents 47-15 on the week, including a win over I-20 neighbor ULM and a three-game Conference USA road sweep against UTSA. Edwards recorded three straight three-hit games against the Roadrunners.

Edwards will lead LA Tech into a Wednesday road game at Grambling State (3 p.m.) and this weekend's Conference USA home series against Charlotte.
