RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech returns home Thursday night to host Middle Tennessee at 6:30 p.m. at the Thomas Assembly Center in a game that will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Tech (9-7, 1-4) looks to return to the win column after dropping a pair of road games at Rice and North Texas last week. Middle Tennessee (12-6, 4-2 C-USA) brings a modest two-game winning streak into Ruston after sweeping FIU and Florida Atlantic at home last week.
The contest can be heard on KNBB 97.7 FM with the pregame show set for 6 p.m. The game will also be streamed live on ESPN+ with Lyn Rollins (PxP) and former Techster Katie Hall (color) providing the call of the contest.
Middle Tennessee if 4-4 away from their home court this season, although the Blue Raiders played a tough non-conference schedule that featured contests against Kentucky, Auburn, Gonzaga, Arizona State and TCU.
Both teams are guard heavy as Middle Tennessee's top three scorers are guards while LA Tech's top three scorers are guards.
Tennessee Lady Vol transfer Anastasia Hayes, the 2018 SEC Sixth Woman of the Year, leads Middle Tennessee, averaging 16.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. Hayes is just one of four MT players averaging double figures, joined by Taylor Sutton (13.5 ppg), Aislynn Hayes (12.9 ppg) and Charity Savage (10.6 ppg, 11.2 rpg).
Keiunna Walker (12.3 ppg, 1.8 spg),
Amber Dixon (11.0 ppg, 2.7 apg) and
Raizel Guinto (8.5 ppg, 31-81 three-pointers) lead LA Tech offensively. Dixon is coming off the best performance of her career with a 26-point, 5-rebound, 4-steal effort in the overtime loss at North Texas on Saturday.
Middle Tennessee leads the all-time series 7-5, including a victory in Murfreesboro last season.
