RUSTON, La. – For the second time in nine days, Louisiana Tech and FIU will meet on the hardwood when the Lady Techsters host the Golden Panthers Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Thomas Assembly Center.
The contest can be heard on the LA Tech Sports Network on KNBB 97.7 FM with the pregame show starting at 1:30 p.m. Fans can also watch a live video stream through a paid subscription to CUSATV.com. Doors to the Thomas Assembly Center open at 12:30 p.m.
Tech (12-13, 4-10 C-USA) defeated FIU (5-20, 2-12) by the score of 68-44 at Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Feb. 13 in a game that saw the Lady Techsters lead from start to finish. In the contest, Tech held FIU to just 13 points in the first half in building a double digit lead and then coasted to the 24-point win.

Brooke Stoehr's team is coming off back-to-back heartbreaking two-point losses, falling to both Florida Atlantic (77-75) and Southern Miss (63-61) in the past two games. In both contests, the third quarter proved to be the difference in the games as the two opponents combined to hit 21-of-32 shots (66 percent) while scoring 53 points.
Tech is currently competing to clinch a spot in the upcoming Conference USA Tournament in Frisco, currently sitting in 11
th place (top 12 of out of 14 qualify). However, both FIU and UTSA are two games back and have games against the Lady Techsters remaining.
FIU enters the contest on the heels of a 54-42 loss at Florida Atlantic on Thursday night.
Tech leads the all-time series against FIU 13-1, including a 6-0 mark in games played in Ruston.
