RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech's opponent for Friday mornings Education Day Game has changed.
Due to COVID concerns within the Central Baptist College program Louisiana Tech's game against the Mustangs has been cancelled.
Instead, the Lady Techsters will now host LSU-Alexandria Friday at 11 a.m. inside the Thomas Assembly Center.
"I want to thank Bob Austin and the administration at LSU-Alexandria for their willingness to help us fill this last-minute opening, It is unfortunate that Central Baptist will be unable to come to Ruston, but we are excited about hosting the Generals for our Education Day Game," said head coach
Brooke Stoehr.

The Lady Techsters opened the 2021-22 season Tuesday night with a dominant 50-point win over Jarvis Christian College to move to 1-0 on the year.
In Tech's win over the Bulldogs, the Lady Techsters struggled to find rhythm in the offense early, before a 19-0 run, that spanned the end of the first quarter and start of the second quarter, sparked the Lady Techsters offense.
All 12 Lady Techsters that saw action in the game scored at least two point as all five starters scored in double-figures, highlighted by
Keiunna Walker's 26 points and
Anna Larr Roberson's 14 points.
The Lady Techsters turned defense into offense pressuring Jarvis Christian into 33 turnovers which lead to 43 points for the Tech offense. Tech's defense also saw 10 different Lady Techsters sang a rebound led by six each by Walker and Roberson.
ABOUT LSU-ALEXANDRIA (0-4)
LSU-Alexandria enters Friday's contest with a 0-3 overall record after losses to Philander Smith College, Tougaloo College and Wayland Baptist College. The Generals fell 76-53 to Southern in an exhibition game Monday night where senior Brittney Smith recorded a 12-point 11-rebound double-double.
LSU-Alexandria is led by Kelsey Thaxton's 13.0 ppg. and 2.5 rpg. while Jay Demouchet adds 11.0 ppg. and 5.5 rpg.
LSU-Alexandria returns 11 players from last year's team that went 7-8. The Generals welcome in four newcomers under the directions of seventh year head coach Bob Austin.
The Generals, an NAIA program that competes in the Red River Athletic Conference, were picked to finish sixth in the conference's preseason poll.
SERIES HISTORY
The Lady Techsters lead LSU-Alexandria 4-0 in the all-time series that dates back to the 2016-17 season. Tech won the last meeting between the two school 93-61 in the season opener of the 2019-20 season. Head Coach
