RUSTON, La. -- Due to travel issues, this weekend's Conference USA softball series in Ruston has been altered as Louisiana Tech will now host the UTEP Miners on Sunday and Monday with doubleheaders starting at 3 p.m. on both days.
 
The series was originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday but due to weather issues through Texas on Friday, the Miners were unable to get out of El Paso.
 
Prior to the first pitch of Sunday's game, members of the 2019 Lady Techster team will throw out the first pitch on the anniversary of the EF3 tornado that destroyed the old complex. That 2019 team would go on to win five of its last six regular season games to capture the program's first ever C-USA regular season title and then win three games in three days in Birmingham to win the tournament title and advance to the program's 11th NCAA Regional.
