DENTON, Texas – The Louisiana Tech men's and women's cross country teams completed the 2022 season Saturday morning at the Conference USA Cross Country Championships in Denton, Texas.
The Lady Techsters and the Bulldogs finished 11th and 10th overall, respectively.
In the women's 6K, two Techsters that competed at last season's 2021 championships improved their marks from a year ago.
Jacquelin LaBerteaux paced LA Tech's women and finished 59th overall with a time of 25:37:28, nearly a two-minute jump from 2021. Victoria Datta knocked 1:42 off her 2021 time and finished 63rd overall with a 26:01:68 time.
Rebecca Quebedeaux finished 66th with a 26:28:03 mark, Lexa Thompson finished 68th (26:49:08), and Ali Looney finished 70th (27:25:32).
Charlotte took the top spot, followed by Middle Tennessee and Rice.
In the men's 8K, Tech was led by
Logan Bailey, who finished 64th overall with a time of 29:30:90, followed by Erik Rangel just one spot back in 65th with a mark of 29:44:90.
Joshua Raiford (31:49:20), Hayes Gill (32:48:20), Jason Arena (35:39:60) rounded out the Bulldog's lineup.
Charlotte completed the men's and women's sweep, followed by UTEP and Middle Tennessee, reaching the podium in both events.
