LA Tech tips-off Thanksgiving MTE in Vegas with Stetson

RUSTON, La. – The Louisiana Tech women's basketball team begins a three-game bracket style multi-team event hosted by UNLV in Las Vegas, Nev. against Stetson on Friday, November 25 at 6 p.m. CT at the Thomas and Mack Center.

ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
The eight-team, double elimination bracket-style tournament will be played over three days in Las Vegas, Nev. at two host sites in the Thomas and Mack Center and Cox Pavilion. 
 
All four games on Friday will be played at the Thomas and Mack Center with the winners playing Friday at Thomas and Mack while the losing teams will play their Friday game at Cox Pavilion. The remaining four Sunday games will all be played at Cox Pavilion.
 
LA Tech will start the tournament facing off against Stetson and facing the winner/loser of Illinois State and UC San Diego. UNLV, UAlbany, ETSU, and George Washington will be on the opposite side of the bracket.
 
ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (3-1)
Louisiana Tech dropped their first game of the season 63-59 at SMU Tuesday to move to 3-1. 
 
Tech got off to their best start of the season taking a 20-10 lead after one quarter in Dallas and had an open look form three with six seconds left down two to win, but fell despite a season-high 22 points from Keiunna Walker who passed Whitney Jones and Ayana Walker for No. 23 on the all-time scoring list. 
 
Anna Larr Roberson became the 45th member of the Lady Techsters' 1,000-point club scoring nine points. 
 
Tech is shooting 46.2 percent from the floor through four games including 30.9 percent from three and 69.6 percent from the line with three players averaging double figures. 
 
Walker (15 ppg), Roberson (10.8 ppg), and Amaya Brannon (10.0 ppg) have led the way in the early going for the Techsters.
