QUOTABLE(S)
"Despite having a small number of athletes at the meet, we had a large number of kids that produced lifetime best performances in a pressure-packed environment," said Head Coach Gary Stanley. "I'm very proud and thankful for the efforts of the assistant coaches. They and the athletes that were here in San Antonio this weekend represented Louisiana Tech extremely well."
"I am proud of the effort by our athletes," said Associate Head Coach
Nadia Alexander-Pompey. "They came out and competed well under the conditions."
"Firstly, I am very proud of Jo! Such a competitor, such a joy to be around, said Assistant Coach
Steven Champlin. "Couldn't have happened to a better young lady. Makayla has had so much adversity to tackle this past year. She's been persistent and ferocious about her goals. I'm so happy for her to end her career the way she did last night. Lastly,
Seth Boullion is a shining example of what it means to work your way to the top. He was a walk-on kid from south Louisiana who worked his tail off to prove to everyone he could do this at this level. Proud of all of our competitors and so grateful for everyone who made this year go round!"
"The athletes really competed hard this weekend, with many of them finishing with season and lifetime best. A perfect way to go out for our seniors," said Assistant Coach
Raffael Craig.
