RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech football team is back on the road this week when it travels to Clemson, where it will try to snap the Tigers' 35-game home winning streak on Saturday at 7 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on ACC Network.

ABOUT LA TECH (1-1)
The Bulldogs are coming off a dominant, 52-17 home-opening win over Stephen F. Austin. The Bulldog offense exploded for 516 yards of total offense, including 300 on the ground.
Running back
Marquis Crosby tallied 197 yards and two touchdowns, all in the first half. The 197 yards were the second-highest single-game mark among all FBS players this season.
Quarterback
Parker McNeil threw for 197 yards and three touchdowns in his first career start.
Tre Harris led the way in receiving with four receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown.
Griffin Hebert continued his explosive playmaking with a 63-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.
J'Dan Burnett was a menace on the defensive line during the Bulldogs' 52-17 win over Stephen F. Austin. The Fort Worth, Texas product tallied three tackles, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a defensive touchdown. Burnett returned his second fumble recovery 30 yards to the endzone for the Bulldogs' first defensive touchdown of the season. He was the first Bulldog to recover multiple fumbles in a game since the late Jaylon Ferguson accomplished the feat on Oct. 6, 2016, in a 55-52 win over Western Kentucky.
Linebacker
Tyler Grubbs led LA Tech with 10 tackles, including an assisted tackle for loss. Defensive back
Jaiden Cole recorded an interception, extending the Bulldogs' streak of games with a forced turnover to seven. Defensive back
Myles Brooks forced a fumble and tallied three tackles. LA Tech has forced six turnovers this season which ranks eighth nationally.
Jacob Barnes nailed his lone field goal attempt and converted all seven of his extra points. LA Tech has now made 172 consecutive point after attempts dating back to Sept. 1, 2018. Barnes has converted his last 82 attempts.
Head coach
Sonny Cumbie is in his inaugural season at the helm of the LA Tech football program. LA Tech is one of 29 FBS programs with a new coach this season.
ABOUT CLEMSON (2-0)
Clemson is 2-0 this season with an average margin of victory of 27 points. Last weekend Clemson defeated in-state foe Furman, 35-12. The Tigers hold a 35-game home winning streak, the longest home winning streak in the FBS. Dabo Swinney is in his 15
th season at the helm with an overall record of 152-36.
The offense is led by quarterback DJ Uiagalelei who has thrown for 441 yards and three touchdowns while also adding 55 yards on the ground. Uliagalelei's favorite target is wide receiver Beaux Collins, who has caught seven passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns this season. Running back Will Shipley is Clemson's leading rusher with 110 yards and four touchdowns this season.
Defensively Clemson ranks 20
th nationally in scoring, allowing just 11 points a contest under first-year defensive coordinator Wes Goodwin. Linebacker Trent Simpson is the Tigers' leading tackler with 16 total tackles. Defensive linemen K.J. Henry, Ruke Orhorhoro and linebacker Lavonta Bently are all tied for the team lead in sacks with 2.5, respectively.
Clemson finished the 2021 campaign with a 10-3 overall record, culminating in a 20-13 victory over Iowa State in the Cheez-It Bowl.
