RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech women's basketball team will look to get back into the win column at the Vibrant Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 24-26 in Des Moines, Iowa. The Lady Techsters will face Drake on Friday, Maine on Saturday, and Richmond on Sunday.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (2-1)
The Lady Techsters are coming off a 96-44 loss to #11 Texas this past Sunday afternoon inside the Moody Center.
Salma Bates continues to be hot from long range, going 3-6 from behind the arc and a team-high 13 points against the Longhorns. The senior has seen her average go up to a team-leading 14 ppg, up 7.5 compared to last season, and has connected on 12-24 from deep. Bates is first on the team with 3.7 steals and second with three assists per game.
Anna Larr Roberson leads CUSA and is 18th nationally with a 68.2 field goal percentage. She is second on the team in ppg (11.7) and first in rebounds (6.0).
Freshmen Paris Guillory and Jianna Morris remain key contributors to the Lady Techsters. Morris has started every game this season, averaging 5.7 points and leading the team with four assists per game. Guillory is shooting 50 percent from the three-point line and is at 11.5 ppg in her two games this season.
ABOUT DRAKE (3-1)
Drake dropped their first game of the season against No. 2 Iowa, 113-90. They came into the contest after defeating St. Thomas (94-69), Saint Louis (78-66), and Iowa State (85-73).
The Bulldogs have three players averaging double figures on the season. Leading the pack is Grace Berg with 19 ppg. The grad student has scored 17 in every game this season, including 19 against Iowa. The preseason MVC First Team selection is hitting 47 percent from three.
Also in double figures for the Bulldogs are Katie Dinnebier (16.5) and Taylor McAulay (14.5). Dinnebier also leads the team with 5.5 assists and three steals per game.
Drake was picked to finish second in the Missouri Valley Conference after finishing last season as the tournament champion and earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs have won 20 or more games in the two seasons Allison Pohlman has been at the helm.
ABOUT MAINE (3-1)
Maine comes into the event having lost their opening game 70-57 to Quinnipiac before winning the next three. The Black Bears' defense allowed La Salle, the University of Massachusetts, and Rhode Island to score only 48 points in their three wins.
Anne Simon has three straight 20-point games, including 25 against Rhode Island and 27 against Massachusetts. She leads the team with 20.8 ppg and is second with 7.5 rebounds and three assists per game.
Adrianna Smith is the only other Maine player averaging double figures. The reigning America East Player of the Year averages 10.8 points, a team-leading 11.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
Amy Vachon is in her eighth year leading her alma mater after a 16-14 record last season. She has led the Black Bears to three 20-win seasons.
ABOUT RICHMOND (3-1)
Richmond has beaten their last three opponents by an average of 40 ppg and scored 78.5 ppg in their four contests this season.
The Spiders have a balanced attack with four players in double figures. Maggie Doogan leads the way with 13.8 points, five rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
The team's second-leading scorer, Siobhan Ryan, is coming off a 20-point performance to lead Richmond over American. Ryan was 6-8 from behind the arc in the win and is shooting 55.6 percent from deep on the season.
Aaron Roussell is in his fifth season leading Richmond after stops at Bucknell and Chicago. The Spiders were picked fourth in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll after finishing last season with a 21-11 record and a trip to the WNIT.
THE SERIES
LA Tech and Drake are meeting for the first time in 25 years. The Lady Techsters are 3-0 all-time against the Bulldogs, with the last being an 88-56 victory on Jan. 19, 1988.
This will be the first meeting with Maine and Richmond for the Lady Techsters.
