ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (3-9)
Salma Bates knocked down the game-winning three-pointer with 38 seconds remaining in a thriling victory over Alcorn on Saturday afternoon.

Bates finished with 14 points and was 4-9 from deep. For the season, Bates averages 11.5 points per game while adding 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and two steals per game.

Helping Bates get open was the inside presence of Anna Larr Roberson. Roberson finished with a game-high 15 points and six rebounds, her third straight in double-figure scoring.

The Lady Techsters' defense forced Alcorn into 17 turnovers and just four free-throw attempts. It was the sixth game Tech's defense forced an opponent into 15 or more turnovers.

The bench continues to produce for LA Tech. The reserves registered 14 points and have scored in double figures 10 games this season for 19 points per game.

ABOUT CALIFORNIA BAPTIST (9-0)
California Baptist comes into the contest without a blemish on their record. The Lancers beat Cal State Fullerton 73-68 on Saturday.

Chloe Webb leads CBU with 22 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game. She had seven straight games of 20 or more points and ranks No. 13 in the country in points per game.

All-WAC preseason selection Grace Schmidt is another key contributor for the Lances. Schmidt is second on the team with 13.1 points per game and a 15-point performance against Fullerton.

The Lancers have one of the best defenses in the country. Their 10.4 steals per game and 31.6 defensive rebounds are ranked No. 51 and No. 12, respectively.
