RUSTON | The Louisiana Tech women's basketball plays travels to Florida for the final two regular-season games of the 2022-23 season, beginning with a trip to Miami, Fla., to face FIU on Thursday, Mar. 2 at 6 p.m. CT. ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (17-11, 10-8 C-USA)
Louisiana Tech split their final two regular-season home games last week with a 70-65 win over WKU and a 61-59 loss to No. 25 Middle Tennessee. 
 
LA Tech's bench continues to be big and has reached double figures 26 times this season and averages 20.1 PPG while scoring 20-plus in 14 outings. Robyn Lee scored 14 off the bench for the Techsters on Saturday against Middle Tennessee. Tech has used nine players in a starting role this season and used five different starting five lineups.
 
Tech is 11-0 this season when holding teams to less than 60 points and 11-0 when out-rebounding the opposition. Tech is also 10-1 when scoring more than 70. 
 
LA Tech is currently No. 1 in C-USA in FG% (.444) and three-point percentage (.337.) Tech also ranks No. 2 in FT% (.770), defensive FG% (.388), and scoring defense (60.8 PPG) and third in assists (368) and APG (13.1).
 
Keiunna Walker is approaching 1,900 career points (1.892) and sits at No. 8 in the all-time scoring list. Walker has reached double figures in 26 of 28 games, including 22 straight. Her 17.5 PPG is No. 2 in C-USA. Anna Larr Roberson surpassed 1,200 career points on Saturday (1,203) and is eight points away from moving to No. 34 on the all-time scoring list. 
 
ABOUT FIU (12-15, 7-11 C-USA)
FIU got off to a 3-0 start to conference play before stumbling in three straight. The Panthers then won four of six but have dropped their last five outings. 
 
FIU is averaging 69.1 PPG this season, good for sixth in the league, on .399 shooting, and have hit .308 of their attempts from deep.
 
They are led by Kaliah Henderson, averaging 15.4 PPG (No. 7 in C-USA), but has had an uptick in production in conference play, scoring 17.5 per C-USA contest.
 
Tanajah Hayes joined Henderson in double figures at 10.0 PPG and is one of the league leaders in assists, ranked fourth at 3.7 per game, and is No. 2 in C-USA in steals per game (2.4).
 
FIU leads C-USA in offensive rebounding (14.8 per game) and ranks No. 2 in total rebounds per contest (38.9). The Panthers' defense forces the second most steals per contest, at 9.5, and are second-best at defending the three-point line (.283). 
 
All ten players have started at least four games this season, averaging 10.7 minutes per contest.
 
THE SERIES
Thursday's matchup will be the 18th overall meeting between LA Tech and FIU, with Tech holding a 16-1 lead on the all-time record, including a 6-1 mark in games played in Miami. 
 
LA Tech won the first 11 matchups of the series, which dates to 1998-99. FIU picked up their lone series win in Miami during the 2017-18 season (57-54).
 
The only other one-possession game in series history was a two-point Tech victory in 2013-14 (67-65).
 
Four of the last five matchups have been in Ruston and have all been double-digit affairs, including the first of the season series with Tech winning 76-65.
