RUSTON | Louisiana Tech women's basketball placed two players on the C-USA all-conference squads this season.
Keiunna Walker was named First-Team All-Conference and to the All-Defensive Team, while
Anna Larr Roberson was named to the Second Team. The Techster duo has been tabbed on the all-conference list for the second straight season.
Walker, the 2022-23 Preseason Player of the Year, finished second in the league in scoring (17.9 PPG), reaching double figures in 28 of 30 games, including 24 straight. She capped off the regular season with a season-high 30 points at FAU and put up 20-plus on 11 occasions.
The Lonoke, Ark. product was once again one of the best in the nation at getting to the free throw line in 2022-23, finishing top 10 in the NCAA in free throw makes (159) and attempts (206), both leading C-USA. She is currently No. 2 on the program's all-time free throw makes (552) list and No. 3 in attempts (744).
Walker shot .431 from the floor this season, good for top-five in the league, which includes a career-best .323 from three. She also ranks top-10 in the league in free throw percentage at .772.
Outside of her scoring ability, Walker also demonstrated her impact on the defensive end. Routinely drawing the toughest assignment on the floor, she tallied 34 steals and three blocks but has been most known for her ability to draw charges. Walker has earned 49 drawn charges on the year and is credited with 131 for her career.
The fifth-year guard has seen her name move up the all-time scoring list this season, currently sitting at No. 8 with 1,940 points. She is 46 points away from moving into the top-five all-time.
This is the third all-conference selection of Walker's career, earning second-team during 2020-21 and first-team last season. She was also named to the previous year's All-Tournament Team. In addition, Walker picked up three Conference USA Player of the Week honors this season, including this week.
Roberson, Ruston native, earns her second career all-conference selection giving her back-to-back second-team honors. Roberson was also selected to last year's All-Tournament Team and was a 2022-23 preseason selection.
Despite missing nine games due to injury, Roberson continued to produce with 12.7 PPG and 6.6 RPG, which ranks in the top five in the conference. In addition, her .519 shooting percentage is the third year of her career to eclipse the .500 mark.
Roberson remains one of the best free throw shooters in the league, posting a .802 from the line, which ranks No. 4 in C-USA. In addition, she has eclipsed the 80 percent mark for the third time in four seasons and also sits No. 3 on the program's all-time list for free throw percentage at .809.
The Cedar Creek product scored double figures in 14 games this year, including a season-high 23 against Vanderbilt. She also produced five double-digit rebounding outings, including tying a career-high 15 against South Alabama.
Roberson picked up three double-doubles this season to give her 20 for her career, which ranks No. 21 in program history.
Walker and Roberson have helped guide Louisiana Tech to a 19-11 mark, including 12-8 in C-USA play this season, winning seven of their final eight games. The 19 wins match last season's regular season win total, and the 12 conference wins ties for most since joining Conference USA in 2013.
The Techsters earned a top-five seed and first-round bye in the Conference USA Championship Tournament this week and will play the No. 4 seed UTEP on Thursday, Mar. 9, at 11:30 a.m. on Court B inside the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
